VoM Chapter 1

I looked down at my purple watch the 101th that day: 2:59. I'm itching to get out of hell, uh, I mean school. It was my last day in fifth grade and I want it to end ASAP so I could go home and celebrate in some way.

The bell rang.

"Bye kids! Have a nice Summer!" our teacher, Miss Dalisay said while waving at us.

We all muttered "Goodbye, Miss Dalisay" and charged for the door. I managed to get out first and raced for the bus stop.

"Orchid! Wait up!" My friend, Marianna Cutler, shouted from not so far behind. I turned around and found Mari, Yasmine, Lila, Emile, Zach and Whistler running towards the bus stop. 

"Oh, hey guys." I said.

Mari's brown hair were in a very messy ponytail. I've always wondered how she could cope with that, I know I couldn't.

Emile was panting. Being a sports jock he should have more energy, but whatever.

"You have to wait for us!" he breathed. It was hard to tell if he was angry or what.

I rolled my eyes. "That's because you people are slow," I said.

"So, what should we do for the Summer holiday?"asked Zach.

I forgot! We promised each other to spend the holiday together since we all live on the same street. "Dunno. Any ideas?" 

Yasmine was beaming as if she just discovered a new species of animals. "Ooh! We should totally go to the zoo!" she said, jumping up and down.

Emile froze. "The zoo? Will there be any insects?" he asked.

"Um, duh." Yasmine said.

Emile passed out right there on the spot.

Lila sighed. "I'm not dragging him onto the bus or anything! If you people dare tell me to do it then I'll make Sun zap you with it's zappy thing!" she said.

Whistler poked Emile. "Wake up, dude." 

I lifted his arms. "Anyone?" I asked, scanning my friends.

Mari lifted his legs. "Let's get the hell outta here," she said.

That was my line.

The bus came and we've hoisted Emile onto it without dropping him, that would be bad.

He soon woke up and found Mari sitting next to him. I'd dropped him there on purpose because he has a crush on her. His face flushed bright red like an apple.

"Your face is as red as--" I began. It's been a thing to say this phrase that I've made up just to describe. But before I could say the rest, he swatted me in the face with a pencil case. Now my face is also red, but that's because I'm hurt.

"Orchid, you're the worst!" he said, sitting up. Mari remains perfectly calm at all times when stuff like this happens. And when either me or Emile or Zach goes completely bonkers (which happens a lot), she would say--

"Calm down, Emile." she put her hand on his shoulder.

I giggled with the rest of the gang. These moments are so priceless that you should buy a ticket just to watch it. That'll be 100,000 dollars, please.

When the bus stopped at our stop, I whispered something into Emile's ear.

"Invite me to your wedding, dude." 

He turned red from anger and tried to murder me until I ran all the way to Whistler and Lila's backyard. That's went I bumped into Robot Sun, a sun shaped robot governess that took care of the twins.

It glowed brightly. "Hi, Orchid!" it beeped in a not-so-robotic way. Sun wasn't like any other robot, it was more of a 3D sun-shaped metal with a screen as its face, so it could change it's expression.

I waved at it, feeling stupid that I'm interacting with a robot. But it's the 24th century, robots now have a little feelings and personality.

Vacay on Mars Bio

 Orchid Static Fox: An 11-year-old girl who likes astronomy. When she dreams something, something similar happens. She isn't super smart but she is a bookworm.

Marianna Bella Cutler: An-11 year-old girl who is very smart. Even though she is sensible, her parents had bought a robot governess shaped as a Moon, who likes arguing with a robot called Sun.

Yasmine Lock Clarke: An-11 year-old girl who is obsessed with animals and creatures of any kind. She goes to the zoo every week and keeps ten pets at home. She always forgets things but facts about creatures.

Lila Destiny Taylor: An 11-year-old girl with princess sickness. She has a twin brother called Whistler. She keeps on complaining on about things and wants everything her way. (She's gonna be your least favorite character, I promise.)

Zachary Gabriel Young: An 11-year-old boy who has the personality of a girl. His scream would make you deaf and he is Emile's frienemy.

Emile Sam Lane: An 11-year-old boy with some insect phobia. He has a crush on Mari and Orchid likes teasing him. He faints at least two times a day and is frienemies with Zach.

Whistler Wayne Taylor: An 11-year-old boy who is obsessed with air conditioner. He has a twin sister called Lila. He and Lila owns a governess robot called Sun who always argues with Moon.

Robot Moon: Mari's governess. It always argues with it's neighbor, Sun.

Robot Sun: Whistler and Lila's governess. It always argues with it's neighbor, Moon.
